Baby Shampoo is just one example. This gentle solution is kind enough to be used on babies’ skin, so is definitely kind enough to use on your floor. Pour one tablespoon of the shampoo into a bucket of warm water, mix together, wring out your mop and begin to wipe over your floors.

Buffing

To really make your floor look the part, try buffing it dry to get a beautiful shine. Invest in an ultra-absorbent or microfibre mop, then once you have cleared the floor of any dust and dirt, work in gentle circular motions with your buffer to polish your laminate floor to a squeaky, sparkly, shiny new form!

Protecting

So now you know how to properly clean your laminate floor, it’s time to start protecting it by introducing some simple and manageable steps.

If you don’t already have any, then buy some outdoor and indoor mats for the entrance of your home. This will hopefully encourage people to wipe their shoes before they enter your house, or better yet, implement a no shoes rule!
