How To Clean A Hob

A ceramic hob can look fantastic in any kitchen. However, as it is constantly on display, you need to make sure it looks spic and span to keep up the perfect appearance!

But when burnt on food sticks to the surface and won’t budge, it can look rather unsightly.

Equipment Needed:

  • Rubber Gloves
  • Cleaning Fluid
  • Microfibre Cloth
  • Newspaper

Method:

Step 1:

If there are any loose bits of food on the surface of the hob, make sure these are removed so you can focus purely on the stains.

Step 2:

Place a small amount of cleaner (designed specifically for ceramic hobs) to the hob.

Step 3:

Spread the cleaner around the hob using a soft microfibre cloth. Allow this to soak in and soften the food, but be careful not to let it dry completely.

Step 4:

Using your cloth, clean the hob area thoroughly. If you come across any stubborn stains, use scrunched up newspaper and gently rub over the stain. This should be textured enough to help lift the stain without causing any damage to the hob.
